Mechanically operated valves operate through a roller lever, tappet/stem or whisker that makes contact with an object, such as products on a conveyor belt or a cylinder. Roller lever valves are available as one-way or uni-directional: they either work in one or two directions. Most mechanically operated valves are mono stable, meaning they will go back to their resting position, but are often available on request as bi-stable (meaning they will remain in their last position).
